Doug Nickerson Stated,” We have had the pleasure of working with three key individuals who have by way of their individual expertise and dedication to the project, successfully moved it forward from the time the idea for the rink was originally conceived to where it is today. They are Brian Cook of the law offices of Thomas Tucker, Brad McKenzie of McKenzie engineering and Henry Stout of Atlantic Construction.

 

The site for the BOG it outstanding. It is adjacent to the Kingsbury Club and Spa one of the premier health clubs in Eastern Massachusetts . Its many features include a large indoor/outdoor swimming pool, six indoor tennis courts, exercise equipment, a spectacular Day Spa and a restaurant. The BOG and the Kingsbury Club will most certainly compliment one another. Future plans call for a second rink that can be converted into a turf field enabling them to provide soccer and lacrosse during the summer season”.

 

The BOG is strategically located and has ready access to Route 3. It has created a tremendous amount of interest among youth and high school hockey programs as well as figure skating clubs up, and down the breadth of Route 3. Thus it will not only serve the towns of Duxbury, Kingston and Marshfield but many others as well.
